These Terms and Conditions apply to your access and use of Gracious and any related web sites and mobile applications (together, "the Web Site") and your relationship with Gracious Style, Inc. and any of its affiliates, partners, or employees (together, "Us" or "We.")  Your use of our Web Site or our mobile application constitutes your agreement to follow these Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them.  These Terms and Conditions, including all documents referenced herein, represents the entire understanding between You and Us and supersede any other agreements, statements or representations.

All policies, including but not limited to the Privacy Policy, Return Policy, Ordering and Payments Policies (together, "Policies") posted on the Web Site or communicated in any other written medium by Us are hereby incorporated as part of these Terms and Conditions.  You hereby agree to such Policies in any use of our Web Site or any other communications, transactions, or interactions with Us for any purpose whatsoever.

These Terms and Conditions and our Policies may be updated at any time in the future without notice to You, and you agree to be bound to these Terms and Conditions including any updates.

You agree to binding arbitration without the right of discovery of any complaint exceeding the jurisdiction of a Small Claims Court.  The prevailing party shall be entitled to legal costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, resulting from any complaint exceeding the jurisdiction of a Small Claims Court.

You agree to the personal jurisdiction of and venue in any federal or state court of competent subject matter jurisdiction, including Small Claims Courts, located in the City of Los Angeles, State of California for the adjudication of any matters arising between You and Us, that have not been resolved through arbitration.

About Us

Founded in 1999, Gracious Style has worked with designers, architects, and consumers to furnish everything from private jets and yachts to luxury hotels, embassies, and private homes. It has been featured in numerous publications and television segments including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Traditional Home, Veranda, and Bon Appetit.

A lot of people say they started a business because they always knew how to decorate. Well, Gracious Style happened because we had no idea how to decorate. Here’s the true story:

Carolina: In 1998, I’d left my job as an emerging markets research analyst at Bear Stearns in New York.  We’d recently bought our first house together, a two-story Colonial in Scarsdale, so I started renovating.  In three months, I changed the layout, remodeled the bathrooms, and added a new kitchen and breakfast room in the back.  

All excited, we started thinking about hosting our first Thanksgiving, when I told Si: “We need a new tablecloth.”  I was surprised by how hard it was to actually find a nice tablecloth, so I thought “Let’s import them ourselves.”  After all, we’d seen very nice linens on our work trips to Europe, so how hard could it be?

Si: At the time, I was working as a portfolio manager at a hedge fund, and when Carolina told me about her idea, I thought “Cool!”  I envisioned going on romantic buying trips to Milan, Paris, and who knows where else.  So I quit my job and joined her.

It was slow going for a while, but we did end up going on those fun buying trips.  We went to Europe year after year, looking for small, family-owned manufacturers who specialized in high end linens.  We even made the front page of an Italian newspaper once!  (Ok, it was a very small town.)  Fortunately, those were the products that top interior designers and architects were looking for, and gradually our business grew.

Carolina: But meanwhile, our own house sat pretty much unfurnished.  An IKEA table floated in the new kitchen and breakfast room (but with a nice tablecloth on top!)  The living room never got furnished.  When we sold the house, there were just some boxes in it, and people thought we’d already moved out.

It wasn’t until five years later, when I built a new house for my parents, that I got serious about decorating.  I went through each room and wrote out a story for it: My parents watching the Lakers here, my sister cuddling up with a book and cup of tea there.  From these stories, I came up with plans for each room and the house as a whole.

In the process, I realized that it was the finishing touches that mattered the most.  That’s what I was missing back in the Scarsdale days.  You can have a beautiful kitchen with the Viking and Subzero, but it’s the light fixtures, the rugs, down to the plates and napkin rings, that’ll give your home its unique personality.

Si: And that’s where Gracious Style is today.  We’ve come a long way from the early years, when we just imported table linens.  Today, our goal is to help you find those special things that complete your home’s story, and make it easy for you to do it.  Learning to decorate and design has enriched our lives, and we believe it will make a big difference in yours as well.

How do we get our completion discount?

You will get a coupon emailed to you after your registry's event date.  Once you get the coupon, just add the items from your registry to your shopping bag and use it at checkout.

How do we change our shipping address when we move?

Just contact us and let us know when you're moving and what your new address is, and we'll take care of it for you.

Could we get a credit for all our guests' purchases, instead of what they bought?

Yes, we can convert your guests' purchases to a credit for you, so you could choose what you like when you'd like to get them.  Just contact us and let us know, and we'll take care of it.

What is Your Return Policy?

Items in new, unused, and shelf-ready condition may be returned within 30 days of receipt for a refund or exchange.

Exceptions to this return policy include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.  Sale items, discounted items, custom orders, special orders and monogrammed items are not returnable.  Items discounted from their MSRP, such as Loloi, Surya, and Jaipur rugs, and items discounted during special promotion periods are returnable
2.  Art, furniture, mirrors, and sterling silver items are not returnable.
3.  Flora Danica dinnerware by Royal Copenhagen is not returnable.
4.  Aidan Gray, Alain Saint Joanis, Alberto Pinto, Anna Weatherley, Chelsea House, Christofle, Downright, Ercuis, Jaune de Chrome, J.L. Coquet, Medard de Noblat, Mike & Ally, Mirror Image Home, Rani Arabella, Stray Dog Design, and Varga items are not returnable.
5.  Herend and Moser items will incur a 20% restocking charge.
6.  Shipping fees are not refundable.
7.  Special orders, custom orders, Aidan Gray, Alain Saint Joanis, Alberto Pinto, Anna Weatherley, Chelsea House, Christofle, Downright, Ercuis, Jaune de Chrome, J.L. Coquet, Medard de Noblat, Mike & Ally, Mirror Image Home, Rani Arabella, Stray Dog Design, and Varga are not cancellable once they have been placed.

Items which do not meet these conditions will be returned to you, and you will be charged for all return shipping charges.

If you received free shipping on your order, the original shipping costs will be deducted from your return.

What happens when a guest buys a gift for us?

You will receive an email from us with an order number, the gift giver's information, the items bought for you, and any gift message from the giver.  You will also receive additional updates by email as we get shipping information on your gifts.

How do we track who gave us what?

From our main registry page, click on the "Manage" button to manage your registry.  Then click on the "Orders" tab to see a list of all the orders for your gift registry.

How do guests find our registry?

They can always go to our main registry page, click on the "Find" button, and search for your registry with you or your partner's last name.  Alternatively, you can post a link to your registry on your wedding site to take them directly to your registry.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

As our items are shipped from a variety of different places, we are unable to accommodate gift wrapping requests.  However, if you have a gift message that you would like to send to your recipient, please note it in your order and we'll send it in the mail for you.

Trade Program 2

Our trade program provides members of the trade with additional benefits when shopping with Gracious Style.

1) Discounts are calculated based on the total amount of each individual purchase.

What are the different tiers of the program?

There are several tiers based on your points balance. Once your points balance reaches the required level, you will advance to a higher tier right away and get bonus points for all your purchases from then on.  You will stay in the new higher tier until the annual adjustment date, which is May 1 of every year beginning May 1, 2017.  Then, based on your activity in the past calendar, your program tier level will be adjusted up or down.  See our Rewards Program page for details on the different tiers and bonus points.

Do my points ever expire?

If there is no purchase activity in your account within a twelve month period, then your points will expire. 

What can I get with my points?

You can get gift cards, free gifts, and other great experiences.  See our Redeem Your Rewards page for what's available now.

Do I get points for trade purchases?

Yes.  If you are a designer or architect and purchase on behalf of your clients, then you will get points for your purchases.

Do I get points for sale items?


How do I know how many points I have?

You can login into your account and see it on the Rewards page.

What happens if I return my purchase?

If you got points for an order and subsequently returned it for a refund, then the points will be deducted from your account.   If you received bonus points, they would be deducted from your account as well.  If the amount deducted would cause your points balance to fall below zero, then your refund will be reduced by the fair value of the points as determined by us.

When do I get my points?

For purchases from Gracious Style, you'll get your points when the order is paid for, which is usually when the order is completed.  For purchases from our partners, you'll get your points when the partners have confirmed your purchase or paid the affiliate commission to us.  For other activities, you'll get your points when we can confirm it has been completed, usually within 24 hours.

How do I earn points?

You'll earn points for shopping with us or with our partners, who specialize in everything from fine wines to gourment dining to social stationery.  You'll also earn points for sharing your lifestyle with us, for example on instagram and twitter, and for telling your friends about us.  See our Rewards Program page for details.

Do I have to join?

No, you don't have to join to shop with us.  But we hope you will!  There's no cost to join and great rewards to be had.

Can I join Gracious Style Rewards?

Yes, if you are 18 years or old and a resident of the United States.

Reward Program Terms

These Terms and Conditions and the general terms of use at, together "Terms", govern your membership to the Gracious Style Rewards Program (the “Program”).   The general terms of use at are incorporated herein and form an integral part of these terms and conditions. Making a purchase on or attempting to use the points or benefits in the Program subjects you to these Terms and Conditions.

1. US residents 18 years and older may be eligible to participate in the Program.  No purchase is necessary to join the Program.

2.  The Program consists of basic and premium levels of membership. All members shall start at the basic level but may achieve a higher levels by accumulating points within a 12-month period, or otherwise at Our discretion. The 12-month period begins at the later of your date of enrollment in the Program and March 1 and ends on March 1 of the subsequent calendar year. The levels of membership and their benefits are subject to change without notice.

3. Membership under the Program may include but not be limited to: free shipping, gift cards, discount coupons, early shopping, and complimentary gifts (“Benefits”).  Benefits may be granted by collecting and using points.  Bonus points based on different classes or tiers of membership in the Program may be granted as well. Together, points and bonus points will be referred to us as "Points". For a listing of each activity and the associated points you may earn, go to Points which are granted for purchase of product will be granted upon Our receipt of your payment for such purchases. If the payment is subsequently invalid, returned, or charged back, or if your purchase is returned, the Points earned will be revoked. If any other activity which earned you Points is later invalidated, the Points earned will be revoked. If you have already used the Points which are later revoked for a Benefit, then you are liable to Us for the value of such Benefits. We may at Our discretion withhold the value of such Benefits from any amounts due to you from Us or pursue collection actions, including but not limited to legal action, against you for the value of such Benefits. There may be delays in the granting of Points to you after you have completed an activity. Benefits are subject to availability and may change without notice. Only Benefits listed on the Web Site are valid at that time.

4. Some Benefits may involve activities on partner, affiliated, or other sites or apps not owned or controlled by Us ("Third Party Sites.") In those cases, additional terms and restrictions may apply, and the awarding of points or Benefits from such sites or apps may require additional time, verification of your activity on such Third Party Sites, submitting of documentation or proof, and approval from and granting of commissions or other benefits to Us by Third Party Sites. We make no representations or warranties regarding your ability to receive points or Benefits from your activities on Third Party Sites.

5. Points and Benefits are subject to expiration or to the cancellation of the program at Our sole discretion. Points and Benefits are also subject to automatic expiration due to inactivity.

6. Any abuse of the Program, including failure to follow these Terms, any fraudulent activity such as using bots to automate points, use of the Program to purchase products for resale, fraudulent referrals, or other activities deemed by Us to violate these Terms and Conditions, and failure to follow the Terms of Use, may, at Our sole discretion, result in cancellation of your membership in the Program and cancellation of all your points. Termination of your access or use or cancellation of your points will not waive or affect any other right or relief to which We may be entitled, at law or in equity.

7.  By enrolling in the Program, you agree to receive emails regarding the program which may contain other promotional content and messages from us or third parties.

8. Limitations.

(i) Program benefits described in Our Web Sites may only be used on Our Web Sites, toward the use of eligible products or services. If a purchase exceeds the amount of the loyalty benefit, the balance must be paid with another payment method;

(ii) Points or Benefits cannot be resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other account, except to the extent required by law.

(iii) Unused Points or Benefits may not be transferred, are nonrefundable and cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law, and cannot be applied to your credit card account.


9. You acknowledge and agree that We may, at our sole discretion, modify, add or remove any terms of the Program, by revising these Terms.  We may also terminate this Program at any time, with or without notice.  You may not amend or modify these Terms under any circumstances. The current version of these Terms is available at under the Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to check periodically for any changes we make to the Terms. Your continued use of the Program after any changes to the Terms means you accept the changes. Why Doesn't My Coupon Work?

If you found a "Gracious Style coupon" on another site, it may not be valid.  Many online sites allow anybody to upload coupons but do not check if the coupon is actually valid.  We can only honor coupons from our own site, subject to their terms and conditions.

​How Do You Handle Pricing Errors?​

​Although we work hard to ensure that items are priced accurately on our site, pricing errors do occur.  If an item's correct price is higher than the ​the price displayed, we will cancel your order for that item and notify you of the cancellation.

What is Your Price Match Policy?​

At Gracious Style, we are committed to offering you the best possible prices. If you find the same product at a lower price from a similar retailer online, ​we will be glad to meet our competitor's pricing.  This promotion is only valid before your order is placed; it cannot be applied to previous purchases.

Competitor items must be in new, unused condition and in stock in the same color, size, and style​shipping costs must be factored in when comparing prices​; other Gracious Style promotions cannot be combined with "price matched" items.

We ​cannot match prices from auction sites, flash sale sites, ​and outlet stores.  In addition, we cannot match other retailers' discount promotions, shipping offers, and gift offers.

In some cases, prices cannot be reduced due to strict manufacturer pricing policies.  

To inquire if an item is available for price matching, ​please contact us before you place your order and provide us with the competitors' website address so we can verify the information.  

​Price match offers are available solely at the discretion of Gracious Style.
